Chapter 1: Ticket To Nowhere

I bought a ticket with no plan.

No hotel.
No 5-day itinerary.
No perfect Instagram spots saved.

Just a bag, 2000 rupees, and a bus ticket to a city I’d never seen.

People asked, "Where will you stay?"
"Who will you go with?"
"What if something goes wrong?"

I didn’t have answers.
I only had this feeling: "I need to go."

Chapter one taught me: You don’t find yourself in your comfort zone.
You find yourself 3 bus stops away from it.

The first morning I woke up in a new place, I was scared.
The food was different.
The language was different.
Even the air smelled different.

But then I walked.
No map.
Just turned left where my feet wanted to.
No one knew my name there.
And that was the best part.

For the first time, I wasn’t someone’s daughter, student, or employee.
I was just me.

Travel isn’t about covering distance.
It’s about uncovering yourself.

So buy the ticket.
Even if it’s to nowhere.

Because "nowhere" might be exactly where you’re supposed to be.

I found a chai stall.
A bookshop with dusty windows.
A river where old men were feeding birds.

🖇️❓Question:
Agar kal ek ticket mil jaaye "kahin bhi" ki, to tum kya karogi?

Option A:
Plan banake jaungi - hotel, jagah sab fix karke

Option B:
Bas bag pack karke nikal jaungi

Option C:
Dar ke wapas rakh dungi - "kuch galat hua to?"

Chapter 3: First Night Alone

The first night alone hits different.

No familiar voices.
No "gate band kar dena".
Just me, a small room, and the sound of my own breathing.

I double-checked the lock 3 times.
Pulled the blanket till my chin.
And stared at the ceiling like it would tell me a story.

Fear came first.
"What if something happens? What if I get sick? What if I cry?"

Then hunger came.
At 11 PM I went downstairs for chai.
The chai wale bhaiya smiled and said, "Pehli baar akeli ho na? Dar lagta hai."

I nodded.
He gave me extra ginger in the chai. "Isse himmat aati hai."

That night I wrote in my diary:
"I am scared. But I am also proud."
Proud that I didn’t run back home.
Proud that I chose myself.

When I switched off the light, the room was dark.
But inside me, a small diya lit up.

Chapter three taught me:
Courage is not the absence of fear.
Courage is drinking chai with shaking hands and still staying.

I came here to see new places.
I ended up meeting the bravest version of myself.

Chapter 2: Strangers Who Felt Like Home

I thought I would travel alone.

But the road had other plans.

On the bus, a dadi shared her tiffin with me.
Aloo paratha and achar.
"Beta, kha lo. Ghar ki yaad aa rahi hogi."

At the chai stall, a uncle told me which hotel was safe and which one to avoid.
He even called the owner and said, "Apni beti jaisi hai."

In the bookshop, a girl my age helped me find a Hindi novel.
We sat on the floor for 2 hours and talked about nothing and everything.

No one asked my surname.
No one asked my marks.
No one asked what my father does.

They just asked, "Chai piyogi?"
"Photo kheechu tumhari?"
"Raat ko dar to nahi lagega na?"

Chapter two taught me: Home is not always a place.
Sometimes it’s people.

Strangers became directions.
Strangers became meals.
Strangers became the reason I felt safe in a city where I knew no one.

The world told me, "Don’t talk to strangers."
But travel taught me, "Some strangers are angels with no wings."

I came to find myself.
Instead, I found pieces of myself in everyone I met.

So if you travel, talk to people.
The best souvenirs are not from shops.
They are stories.

🖇️🧿 Question 1st
Travel me sabse achha khana kis anjaan ne khilaya tha tumhe?
Dadi ka tiffin ya uncle ki chai? ☕

🖇️🧿 Question 2nd
Tumhari zindagi me kaunsa stranger tumhare liye "home" ban gaya tha?

Chapter 4: Getting Lost

Chapter 4: Getting Lost

I got lost on purpose.

Maps said left. My heart said right.
So I followed my heart.

The main road was crowded.
But the gali I took was quiet.
Walls full of paintings, kids playing cricket, and aunties gossiping from balconies.

My phone battery was 4%.
My courage was also 4%.

I asked a shopkeeper, "Bhaiya, ye jagah kaha jaati hai?"
He laughed and said, "Beta, tum to bilkul opposite aa gayi. Par ruko, chai piyo pehle."

10 minutes later I was sitting on a plastic chair.
Drinking cutting chai, eating samosa.
He introduced me to 3 other people.
One uncle told me about a hidden temple.
One didi told me where to get the best jalebi.
One kid offered to drop me till the main road.

I was supposed to reach my hotel in 20 minutes.
I reached in 2 hours.
But chapter four taught me:
Getting lost is not always bad.
Sometimes the wrong turn takes you to the right people.

I didn’t find the place I was looking for.
I found stories instead.

The city gave me directions.
But the people gave me memories.

Maybe I came to travel.
But I stayed because I got lost.

🖇️🧿 Question 🧿🖇️
Tum kabhi galat gali me gaye ho aur wahi sabse achhi yaad ban gayi ho?
